Godstone Parish Council

Godstone Parish during Covid19

Children’s Playground - The Playground currently remains closed

Following the updated government guidelines in relation to the opening of playgrounds, the Parish council have reviewed and considered the guidelines and requirements to reopen the playground.

The Parish council’s current decision is that the playground remains closed due to not being able to meet all the criteria of the guidelines, and in particular to ‘manage any potential risk, cleaning high traffic touch points frequently’.

The Parish council realises the frustration that this will cause and sincerely apologises for the inconvenience it will cause, but it is not possible at the moment to reopen the children's playground in a way to support the community in working to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Parish council will continue to review the situation regularly.
